red star seafood- VANCOUVER
my boyfriend and i decided to get some dimsum in order to survive our saturday morning hangover at red star seafood in marpole
stuffed dumpling– deep fried oval-shaped dumpling made with rice-flour and filled with pork and chopped vegetables
> ordered this by accident, i actually developed a phobia from a bad experience with eating stuffed dumplings as a child but my boyfriend seemed to think it was alright
steamed buns w/barbequed pork filling– my favorite dim-sum dish
> red star has one of my favorite steamed buns with bbq pork in vancouver. though, it wasn’t as good as i remembered..
rice noodle rolls w/ shrimps
> large shrimps but too much rice noodle skin!
shredded chicken noodle soup
> this was relatively good & definitely cured my hangover 😛
+ all in all, red start seafood is still one of my favorite go to place for dim sum (after kirin). it has is at a good location, has free parking, efficient service and nice interior for a busy and crowded cantonese restaurant!
