le pain quotidien- (WESTWOOD) LOS ANGELES
I was here with the boyfriend bright and early on Saturday for a nice sit-down breakfast before we drove off to Vegas. I was first drawn to Le Pain Quotidien because of its organic and health conscious food options. Although the menu had us drooling we didn’t enjoy our breakfast as much as we’d wished for.

Hazelnut, Apricot, Raspberry Spread
The condiments were the first to arrive.

Mini Chocolate Muffin and Madeleines & Croissant
Despite it’s unusual shape the ‘miniature madeleine’ was dry and lacked lemon flavor.
Paris Ham & Gruyère Omelette w/ Whole Wheat Bread & Baguette
My boyfriend’s omelette was over-cooked and a little bland so we asked for ketchup. He enjoyed the baguette but not the whole wheat bread.

Asparagus & Tomato Egg-White Omelette w/ Whole Wheat Bread & Baguette
My egg-white omelette was extremely bland and I didn’t get a whole lot of asparagus and tomatoes. The texture of my omelette was too firm and I also didn’t like the soggy brown bread that was served. Either one of us can make better omelletes at home.
For the road we bought a pre-packaged belgium waffle that was really eggy and sweet and the edges weren’t crispy at all. However, I think the flavors and texture of the waffle would all come together if it was freshly made in-house and served hot.
Overall, Le Pain Quotidien in Westwood is a chill spot to hang-out and grab some grub. I’d come back but I’m not doing breakfast here again.

That’s a shame, it looks really nice! (But I am very hungry
