korea tofu house- (CUPERTINO) SANTA CLARA

December 28, 2011

A sizzling pot of Korean tofu soup never fails me on a cold Winter day or as the perfect hangover food.  Something about the warmth of the soup in my tummy, red-hot spices numbing my senses, and the idea of slurping down baby textured food is  just so damn comforting. Korea Tofu House in Cupertino is not a place where you can be too nick picky about the quality of food and service, but it does put a smile on my face when it fulfills all of the above.

They have both Mandarin and English on their menu.

Complimentary Appetizers
The large assortment of complimentary appetizers/side dishes is one of the reasons why I love eating Korean food…

Seafood Tofu Clay Pot- shrimp, clam, oyster, scallop ($10.95)

Non-Spicy Seafood Tofu Clay Pot- shrimp, clam, oyster, scallop ($10.95)
My aunt wasn’t able to eat spicy because of her stomach problems so had this one instead. Also tasty.

Rice (comes with clay pot)
Korean white rice is the ultimate BEST.  It’s like a rounder, plumper, fluffier, and stickier version of typical Chinese rice. Some even say that Korean rice is superior to Japanese and Chinese… but it’s unfair to compare.

Beef Short Ribs ($17.95)
